What's your current configuration on your PBX/SIP Server and eyebeam for making PSTN calls?
Do you have this problem only with eyebeam? no problem with other clients?

Do you have multiple network interfaces in the server? That's why you specified interfaces in your dial plan?

Hi Geoff,
Yes, PBX will do the codec conversion if RTP traffic is relayed through PBX.
Please set [Options] > [RTP relay] = on if you need the codec conversion.

We haven't had any problem with VMware, x64.
Are you using IPv6? If so, could you disable using IPv6?

Could you open /etc/hosts and check if localhost is set correctly?
It should be set as
127.0.0.1 localhost
IP address hostname

We supported ptime = 30 in the latest version.
But unfortunately, we don't have a plan to support ptime = 40 so far..
