1. Brekeke Product Name and version:MTPBX

2. Java version:

3. OS type and the version:Win2008r2

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:NEC DT700

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/networkpatterns.html :

6. Your problem:I am using an ip hard phone which uses the account name for the extension ID on the display of the phone. Since I am using multi tenant the extensions account name is prepended by a tenant ID. Example 3000100 where 100 is the extension and 3000 is the tenant id. Right now 3000100 is displayed on the display of the phone. I have tried just using 100 but the phone does not login. I want to use just 100 for the account name. Is there anybway to do that and let the username and password determine which tenant thebphone belongs to?

Thanks
Chris A

Hi Hope yes there is, but I was using that for the users name example chris, but even if I setthat to 100 there is no way to remove the other part of the display which is the account name and is 3000100.

Can account names be alpha numeric like tenant1-100 rather than 3000100. My current multi tenant asterisk works that way and I think that would be workable. Of course the account name and username would be the same.

Thanks,
Chris A

sip id/authentication id can be set as alph + number

is this account name the SIP id used by clients or the authentication name?
if settings at sip server/configuration/sip/authenticaiton section like:
Auth-user=user in "To:" yes
Auth-user=user in "From:" yes
client sip id should be the same as authentication name

if set client sip id as tenant1-100 but authentication id still 3000100, client may not register to brekeke.
need to either set above fields to no or set authentication name to tenant1-100 at both brekeke "user authentication" and client setting

Hi Hope,
Sorry for the delay in getting bact to you.
Yes right know both the username and authentication I'd must match.

I would like to use something like
Username = 100
Author id = 3000100

If I change settings you mention above, in order to do this o I open myself up to any risks?

Thanks,
Chris A

if change auth setting for register and invite to No.
multiple users can register or make call with the same authentication account informaiton, like 300100.

Hi Hope,
Okay what is the difference right now. If I have 2 users register with

Username = 3000100
authentication Id = 3000100

I would get multiple users registering to the same I'd and able to make calls.

Since my auth id = is unique for every extension, should I not be okay?
