Hi,
Skype does not use SIP. Brekeke is a SIP server. There is no software interopability. |

Actually, Skype DOES use SIP. You have to sign up in the business section for a Skype Manager Account [That account can be for family based but it's aim is toward businesses].
Check out:
www.skype.com/en/features/skype-manager/
From there, you make a sip profile.
I've been able to make Skype work outbound via Brekeke SIP Server from my softphone [Yes, BREKEKE SIP SERVER not PBX]
Still working on the inbound and DID aspect. That's tricky.
Thanks,

Yes. You can use "THRU REGISTRATION".
Configuration > SIP tab > Thru Registration [on] TICK
You can do the following which has worked for me to gain outbound access. Here is the best dial plan tested that works well:
Matching Patterns | $request = ^INVITE $registered = false $outbound = true To = sip:(.+)@
| Deploy Patterns | $auth = false To = sip:%1@sip.skype.com
|
Make sure to register the actual Brekeke Sip Server with the following from Skype Connect:
sip:99051000123456:SkypeSipAccountPasswd@sip.skype.com
All you have to do is register your sip profile from a phone to Brekeke Sip Server using the same credentials from your Skype account. Then call using the format [contact uri]: phonenumber@sip.skype.com
The call should now route from inside the server outbound to Skype service and call will complete.
Thanks,
Kent C.

Hello Brekeke Sip Server/Skype Users,
Here is the methods I have discovered work for Brekeke Sip Server [Not PBX] for Skype : INBOUND SKYPE DID-REDIRECT
Step One: Sign up for Ipkall.com *Use the following link below for instructions, but use your Brekeke Sip Server SIP:URI 425*******@Brekeke.Public.Ip.Addr *
freecallguider blogspot com/2012/01/free-skypein-33-how-to-add-ipkall-or_3204.html
Step Two: Forward your Skype DID to the IpKall.com 425 DID
Use the following link for instructions: [ support skype com/en/faq/FA10532/how-do-i-set-up-call-forwarding-for-members-in-skype-manager ]
Step Three: Build the dial-plan for the 425 DID in Brekeke Sip Server
Matching Patterns | $request = ^INVITE $addr = ^66.54.140.46$ From = sip: (.+)@ To = sip:425*******@
|
Deploy Patterns | $rtp = true $b2bua = true To = sip:99051000******@LAN.IP.ADDR.HERE:5060
|
The deploy patterns in Brekeke Sip Server will be your extension to your registered soft/hard phone. From there the call will route from your Skype DID via IpKall into your network, and route it to the registered softphone using credentials for contact:uri : sip:99051000******* : pw @ brekeke.server.ip
Tested this and you may get the occasional 408, but this will infact work.
What helped me come to the conclusion this was the answer was from reading the following:
support skype com/en/faq/FA34431/where-can-i-get-downloadable-guides-for-skype-connect
Read those they will give you the big idea how to manipulate routing. I used the following from Skype Connect User's Guide
6.0 Creating a SIP Profile
Figured since the IP Authentication feature wasn't working well and Brekeke doesn't have a backwards Upper or Thru Registration that Skype integrates with from Skype Manager CP,
This is the easier alternative to use this with your Brekeke Sip Server.
Here is my other thread so this information is spread:
community skype com/t5/Skype-for-business/Skype-DID-re-direct-to-SIP-Proxy-Server/m-p/3694779#M5348
Thank you for the help,
Kent C. |

HI Taitan,
Maybe my method they add to the Brekeke Wiki for "Brekeke Sip Server" since that's for "Brekeke PBX ARS" configuration.
Thanks,

Brekeke Users,
I have configured a better way to route outbound with Skype Connect SIP Profile! Use this instead of the other dial plan for OUTBOUND and your call will register with Skype and ring as a normal call flow should with Brekeke Sip Server!
TESTED : Cisco IP 7960 + Brekeke Sip Server V.3 CentOS 5.8
Matching Patterns | $request = ^REGISTER $outbound = true $registered = false To = sip:(.+)@
| Deploy Patterns | $auth = false &net.sip.timeout.ringing = 60000 Contact = sip:%1@sip.skype.com:5060
|
This new rule when applied on Brekeke Sip Server will correctly use UPPER REGISTRATION if that's set to ON with 5060/sip.skype.com
Thanks,
Kent C. |
