1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:

Brekeke SIP Server
3.6.3.0/454

2. Java version:

1.7.0_121

3. OS type and the version:

AWS Linux 3.14.35-28.38.amzn1.x86_64

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

ABTO SIP Client

5. Your problem:

We had encountered a problem that, with high probability, the RTP packets were dropped/cannot be received on the client sides. We are sure that the network connection is ok. When it happened, the client sides didn't have video and audio. Questions are:

1. What are the reasons of this RTP packets being dropped problem?

2. Currently, this is only a test Linux machine with single CPU and 1GB RAM. If we upgrade to a better AWS linux image (say, 17GB 4/2Core CPU), will this problem solved significantly?
Because this project is still under development, there could only be 2~3 active concurrent sessions top. I check the system, and we still have 50% RAM available.

3. And it raises another question, if we upgrade to another server with better performance and shut down the current one, do we need to type in the license key again? (We saw it somewhere on the Brekeke website saying that a license key could be reinstalled 3 times only)
What we will do is to make a snapshot of the current machine and start a new and better machine image using that snapshot so the new machine and the old one will be the same.

Which OS are you using at the client side?
Have you captured RTP packets at the client side to confirm the packet dropping?
Which audio and video codecs are you using?
Do you have an enough network bandwidth to send/receive both audio and video streams?

To confirm whether the packet dropping happened before Brekeke SIP Server or not, capture RTP packet at AWS Linux with tshark or tcpdump.

Ask Brekeke's license team.
