domain name

1. Brekeke Product Name and version:Brekeke SIP Server , Version 2.0.7.2 Academic

2. Java version:jre1.5.0_11

3. OS type and the version:windows xp

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:X-lite 3.0

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/networkpatterns.html :

6. Your problem:
Hi I am a student new to SIP.I am using Brekeke sip server and x-lite phone to experiment and analyse the SIP protocol.

I am not able to register to the ONDO sip server from xlite phone.I am getting an error saying 503:service unavailable.

In x-lite
I am giving the Domain name to register in X-lite as 100@samyu.com

In server
I am giving the server name under configuration tab as samyu.com

although I can not register using a domain name,I am able to register using ip address.
100@192.168.xx.xx(IP where the brekeke sip server is running)

Do I need to set some other field in the server

Any reply is greatly appreciated.

To use a domain name it must be registered with a domain registrar. You don't put the domain name in Brekeke sip server unless you are using a dynamic ip address.
