I have an external SIP for remote users, configured to only call local extensions (can't access gateway). I have internal SIP for local users, configured with normal call routing.
I need for internal users to leave VM for external users, I need external users to dial 4xxxx and get the VM left.
The jist I get, since users are registered to different SIP servers this wont work.
it there a better way? a secure way to allow remote users to register to the internal SIP server and not allow access to gateway.
I wouldn't want internal externsions to register from remote locations to protect access to the gateway. |

in brekeke's infinite wisdom, they added a real nice feature called Upper/Though Registration, which does exactly what I want. It makes a SIP server act as a proxy for a "higher authority".
well done. see page 5 of your Admin guide for more detail. |
