In reality this qestion is SIP general related:
What is the probability that whithin a certain internet community, two people can not be joined directly ?
We know that BSS detects that case and then acts a "relayer" of the audio/video data, ie data comes from client A then to BSS Server then to client B, and vis versa. While in the ordinary case, BSS intervenes just in making connection possible, ie commnicates clients addresses such they can find each others.
