1. Brekeke Product Name and version:
2. Java version:
3. OS type and the version:
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/networkpatterns.html :
6. Your problem:
When and why do we use or not use RTP relay at the SIP PBX?
If not using rtp relay means can handle more concurrent calls, then what problems will we have or features we will miss out?
Thanks. |

PBX rtp relay can help with issues such as dtmf tones for pbx features. It can also to transcoding if one caller is g711u and the other ilbc. If you don't use pbx features that require dtmf tones and you don't need transcoding you probably won't need to have rtp relay turned on. |

You may have problems if you set RTPrelay=OFF with some ITSP.
So I recomend RTP relay=on at an ARS setting for ITSP.
You might be able to avoid some kind of problems if you set RTPrelay=on. |
