1. Brekeke Product Name and version: SIP Proxy 2.1.6.2

2. Java version: 1.4

3. OS type and the version: Windows XP/2003 Server

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/networkpatterns.html :

6. Your problem:

Can your SIP Proxy server software be used to build a Session Border Controller? We need to be able to attach our SIP call servers to the external IP network (internet) and must be able to protect our systems from DoS attacks, etc.

Any suggestions on how your SIP Server product might be configured to do this (e.g. via plug-ins, etc) would be appreciated. If anyone else knows of a good, reasonably priced SBC, that would be great too!

Kevin

Do you want to hide your local (internal) IP addresses by the SIP Server?

Hi

Add the following in the [Configuration]->[Advanced] page.
net.sip.via.multiple = false

so the SIP Server will hide a caller side's Via headers.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

What if I needed to hide the called party info?

Hi,
The parameter also hide called party info.

I heard that the next version of Brekeke SIP Server will have B2B-UA mode as SBC.
