1. Brekeke Product Name and version:

2. Java version:

3. OS type and the version:

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/networkpatterns.html :

6. Your problem:
I would like to set a ring tone on a cisco 7925 handset based on Caller ID, does anyone know how to push this command across Brekeke? example: we are integrated with Rauland Nurse Call system R5. When caller id states Ex. RM404 Code Blue (Caller ID), i want to search the caller ID Text for "Code Blue" and specifify the ring tone on the handset.

Thanks in advance!!!

Brad

Some type of sip phone can change the ringing sound by adding Alert-Info to INVITE request.
Do you know how can I do with CISCO phone?

I think.. Cisco 79xx supports "Alert-Info" from the firmware version 6.0.

Here is a sample DialPlan rule..
Matching Patterns
$request = ^INVITE
From = Code Blue
Deploy Patterns
Alert-Info = <file://Bellcore-dr1/>

Also, if your CISCO handset supports the paging feature, you can use Brekeke PBX for this purpose.
With Brekeke PBX, such an emergent call can be forwarded to multiple locations with a certain ring tone.

Bumping this thread.

Has any R5 integrators out there been able find and confirm a distinct ringtone solution with Cisco?

Thanks,

-Tom

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmeadm/cmering.pdf

Refer to the above Cisco's doc.

For local SIP endpoints, the type of ring sound requested is signaled to the phone using an alert-info signal.

I've tried to get the Alert-info to trigger ring tones local to the handset with no luck. I've tried a lot variations including their tftp server. I know the document says it can work but I have yet to find a string that will trigger a ringtone from the SIP message.

Thanks for the reply Harold. The handset is the 7925g. I've been trying to find information specific to the handset and I'm coming up short.

Have you asked your Cisco dealer whether 7925g supports Alert-Info header?
