1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:
Brekeke SIP Server , Version 3.1.9.0 Advanced

2. Java version:
Tomcat 6.0.35.0

3. OS type and the version:
Debian Linux 6.0

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Your problem:
We get many port allocation failed errors in the logs, but we have 20000 ports allocated to RTP (10000-29999) and only around 250-300 sessions.

It doesn't make sense.

What can it be?

Thanks.

After a few hours of instability, where it returns many "Port Allocation Failed" errors, we lost connection to the server completely, although it keeps running. In the GUI it says that it's inactive.

the same thing happened to us a few weeks ago and we had to kill the Tomcat processes completely and restart it for the Brekeke to come back to life.

Any idea what causes this and how to avoid/fix it?

Thanks.

although I restarted Tomcat/Java completely last night, the port allocation problem repeated itself today and in the server status page I see that the session peak limit is at 250:
Quote:
session-peak 250

I thought that the advanced edition is supposed to handle significantly more traffic than that.

Kindly advise.

Thanks

Have you read this wiki topic?
Read "Increase file descriptor limit on Linux".
http://wiki.brekeke.com/wiki/Port-Allocation-failed

You need to tune the Linux's config.

I did and it solved the issue. We passed the 250 sessions mark.

Thanks for your help.
