1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:
Brekeke PBX, Version 3.8.3.4, Pro Evaluation
2. Java version:
1.8.0_161
3. OS type and the version:
Windows Server 2012 R2 64 bit
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
None
5. Your problem:
I have a environment that requires my system to register on it and because it is a cloud PBX it doesn’t send calls if the SIP trunk has no registration. It also doesn’t accept that the cloud PBX registers on my BSS that I have already running.
The idea then is to use Brekeke PBX and its ARS facility to route the calls.
Here I have two options:
a) BPBX ARS just routes calls to BSS
b) BPBX takes the calls and routes it to some GSM gateways in a VPN network.
For this purpose I’ve deployed a BPBX evaluation version in a VM, running Windows Server 2012 R2 in parallel to the BSS standalone
The system seems ok, and I’ve replicated the SIP server configuration of the already running BSS, except for RTP ports and SIP port, which is now 5070. Ports in the router have also been forwarded in the same way as for BSS, except for the different port values.
I’ve also added a simple, but incomplete yet, ARS with user/password/registrar and outbound proxy. No IN/OUT configuration yet.

My problem is, that it isn’t registering. Worse, a Wireshark capture shows that NO SIP packet has been sent anywhere. Therefore, no registration attempt was sent out of the machine.
Additional info:
a) I can Telnet successfully the SIP port of the registrar using PuTTY
b) The firewall of this machine has been turned off for troubleshooting
c) I can see in the logs the PBX trying to register, but the contact info is 127.0.0.0:5052, so I suppose it is trying to use thru-registration on the SIP Server of the PBX, but I see no attempt of the SIP Server to send a registration packet towards the registrar
d) For the logs I’ve enabled all options, to collect all data.

What is possibly missing here?

Hi uhupfeld,

So your brekeke PBX didn't try to register to BSS. Right?

Did you fill in all fields at "Registration" section in ARS route?

Does your PBX communicate to BSS with global IP addresses or local IPs?

Thank you.

Hello Brett,

I've managed to solve the issue last week by placing this BPBX on a separate internet link and keeping the SIP port on 5060.
For some reason it didn't like a SIP port different from 5060.
Thanks!

BR
