1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:
Brekeke SIP Server (BSS) 3.8.5.2

2. Java version:
1.8.0_181

3. OS type and the version:
Windows 7 Pro

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
Various, mostly 3CX IP PBX

5. Your problem:
I tried setting up HTTPS access to the BSS Management, but it doesn't work. I used the Self-Signed Certificate 'creator' on the Brekeke website. If I try to use HTTPS on the machine on which BSS is running, it simply switches back to HTTP. If I try from 'outside' (from the the internet), I never get a connection.

I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this.

John

Which port did you assign for the HTTPS? Is it 8443?

Can you access to https//127.0.0.1:8443/sip from the same machine?

Yes, 8443.

And no, I can't access it using https://127.0.0.1:8443/sip on the machine on which BSS is running.

Have you imported the same Self-Signed Certificate to the web browser?
Since it is not issued from a CA, you need to share the same certificate with the browser.

To check whether the SIP Server is listening the port 8443, use resmon.exe tool.

I used netstat -a.

No reference to port 8443 in the resulting list.

Have you rebooted the Windows?
To apply such changes, you need to reboot the OS.

Some web pages like this may help.
