1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:
SIP Server 3.9.1.3/510
2. Java version:
OpenJDK 64 Bit, 1.8.0_191
3. OS type and the version:
Linux (Centos 7, 64 Bit)
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
3CX IP PBX
5. Your problem:
The BSS is running fine. However, every so often (maybe once every 2 to 3 weeks) when I try to log into the server through a browser, a screen comes up that indicates that the BSS isn't licensed properly and allows me to 're-authorize' it. When I do this, a message indicates that I'm moving it from another machine to this one. But, this is still on the same machine. It's running on a hosted VM in a data center. What would cause this to happen?

What kind of error message it is? Which hosted platform are you using? |

I don't remember the exact wording, but it's basically the licensing page where a new license key can be entered or, in this case, a button that allows the license key that was already entered to be 're-authorized' on the machine. It appears that BSS 'thinks' that the software has been moved from one machine to another, even though it has not been moved.
I'm not sure of the actual VM software that's being used, but the VM in which BSS is installed is running CentOS 7.

Make sure machine's identifier such as MAC address is kept same.
If they are changed, the SIP Server thinks the license was moved. |

I checked on this, in terms of the MAC address changing, and it's 'locked' where it should not be changing.
Is there anything else that the licensing looks for, which might be changing in a VM environment?

It depends on a hosting service. Is it EC2? or Azure? |

The hosting company is NDCHost.com. I've checked with them and the MAC address for the VM does not change. It is locked.

Brekeke uses several information as machine's signature. A MAC address is one of them.
Have you contacted to Brekeke's team? You can ask them why it happened on your license. |
