1. Brekeke Product Name and version:
SIP Server 2_0_7_2
2. Java version:
jre1.6.0_01
3. OS type and the version:
MS 2003 Server (w/ latest patches)
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
N/A
5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/networkpatterns.html :
N/A
6. Your problem:
Can not start the Brekeke Service. The service does not start, either manually or automatically at boot.
The error message returned is:
"Windows could not start the Brekeke SIP Server on Local Computer. For more info, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 0."

Charlie,
Make sure no other application is using port 8080tcp and 5060udp on your server. I would uninstall brekeke. Go to programfiles/brekeke and remove that directory, reboot and install again. Another user also reported this problem and we solved it by removing Java 6 and installing Java sdk 1.5.0.11. Do a google search for "sun java previous versions" and it will lead you to sun's previous version download page.

Hi Nick,
It was the version of Java that was causing the problem. I was able to back down to the version you suggested. Everything worked correctly after that.
